And with a faint taste of cigarettes you write hallelujah songs.

Ain’t it wonderful feeling alright
So I tickle up your backbone.

On a date by a chocolate lake
Down by the rotary
Past town at the edge
Looking down at butterflies

And at the break of day you sink into dream, you dreamer

Alexi Murdoch – “Breathe” Lyrics

In the quiet of the shadow
In the corner of a room
Darkness moves upon you
Like a cloud across the moon

You’re a-wearing all the silence
Of a constant that will turn
Like the windmill left deserted
Or the sun forever burn

So don’t forget to breathe
Don’t forget to breathe
Your whole life is here
No eleventh hour reprieve
So don’t forget to breathe

Keep your head above water
But don’t forget to breathe

And all the suffering that you’ve witnessed
And the hand prints on the wall
They remind you how it’s endless
How endlessly you fall

And the answer that you’re seeking
For the question that you found
Drives you further to confusion
As you lose your sense of ground

So don’t forget to breathe
Don’t forget to breathe
Your whole life is here
No eleventh hour reprieve
So don’t forget to breathe

Keep your head above water
But don’t forget to breathe

Breathe….

Don’t forget to breathe
Don’t forget to breathe
You know you are here
But you find you want to leave
So don’t forget to… breathe

Just breathe
Just breathe
Just breathe…
Just breathe…
Just breathe…

Cashmere Mafia Songs and Music From Episode 3

Jan 16, 2008 Author: CashmereMafia | Filed under: Music

We know everyone is wondering what the song at the end of episode three is, which is why we are letting you know. The song marks the return of a music artist who’s music appeared in the first episode. Charlotte Martin’s “Cardboard Ladders” was featured in the first episode and this episode showcases her song “Redeemed”.

Don’t forget to check out our update list of SONGS from each episode in Cashmere Mafia.

You can check out Charlotte Martin’s website HERE.

Here are the lyrics for Charlotte Martin’s “Redeemed”:

Every tree has got a root,
and every girl forbidden fruit, and got her demons.
And the path I chose to go, a different girl so long ago —
I had my reasons.
And she’s in my head so loud, screaming,
Shouldn’t you be proud of what you came from?
Oh you’ve been crippled and you’ve walked on,
you’ve been shut up and you talked,
so let’s talk some more.

Where is the hand for me to reach?
Where is the moral I’ll ever teach myself?
In all the black, in all the grief,
I am redeemed.

And it’s ripping at my heart because I’m dodging all the darts
and on a slow train.
And then I’ll wear it ‘til it tatters and it shatters on the floor
in instant replay.
Oh, we’re all rotten and we’re pure
and we’re just looking for the cure that feels like spring snow.
And all we have is who we are, and where we’ve been got us this far
so let me go.

Where is the hand for me to reach?
Where is the moral I’ll never teach myself?
In all the black, in all the grief,
I am redeemed.

Where is the hand for me to reach?
Where is the moral I’ll never teach myself?
In all the black, in all the grief
through all the pain, and unbelief
These are the words, that they all scream:
I am redeemed.

Songs in Cashmere Mafia Episode 2

Jan 10, 2008 Author: CashmereMafia | Filed under: Music

There are two identifiable songs in Cashmere Mafia episode 1×02. There are more than two songs in the episode, but these include songs such as the techno beat played in the club Caitlin and Alicia visit, which are not identifiable.

The first song is introduce in the beginning of the episode and is “Love Today” by Mika. This is a popular song and you have probably heard it from commercials on MTV.

Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di

Everybody’s gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today.
Everybody’s gonna love today, gonna love today.
Anyway you want to, anyway you’ve got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

I’ve been crying for so long,
Fighting tears just to carry on,
But now, but now, it’s gone away.

Hey girl why can’t you carry on,
Is it ’cause you’re just like your mother,
A little tight, like to tease for fun,
Well you ain’t gonna tease no other,
Gonna make you a lover.

Everybody’s gonna love today,
love today, love today.
Everybody’s gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you’ve got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.
Girl in the blue with the big bust on,
Big bust on, big bust on.
Wait till your mother and your papa’s gone,
Papa’s gone
Momma, momma papa, shock shock me,
Shock shock me, shock shock.

Everybody’s gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
I said,
Everybody’s gonna love today, gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you’ve got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

Carolina sits on ninety five
Give her a dollar and she’ll make you smile.

Hook her, book her, nook her, walk away!

Girl dresses like a kid for fun,
Licks her lips like they’re something other,
Tries to tell you life has just begun,
But you know she’s getting something other
Than the love from her mother

Everybody’s gonna love today,
Love today, love today
Everybody’s gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you’ve got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

Girl in the blue with the big bust on,
Big bust on, big bust on.
Wait till your mother and your papa’s gone,
Papa’s gone
Momma, momma papa, shock shock me,
Shock shock me, shock shock.

I said,
Everybody’s gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
I said,
Everybody’s gonna love today,
Gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you’ve got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di…..

Everybody’s gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
Everybody’s gonna love today,
Gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you’ve got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di Doom da da di da di…..

The second song is during Ian’s event. This is “Magic Tree” by Kirsten Price. This song is tough to find online but it can be found with a little searching.

Bring it back to the middle, and round again
Whip it up, shake it down and slide it back on in
Oh right, oh right
Knocking on hard wood like I know you should
You’ll be shakin’ on the kitchen floor
Cookin’ up your TV dinner
Sunday afternoon sinner
Turn it off, switch it on

Can I get an angel up in here?
I’m cryin’ ‘Save me!’
Hanging on the back of the b hole??
the soles of my feet hit the ground

Fallin’ from the Magic Tree
You know you got me on the run from the enemy
I want more, more, more
I want more, more, more
You know that my parachute is failing me
You know you got me on the run from the enemy
Come on, rescue me.

Set me free and rescue me
There’s a walk on, walk on

Gotta 411 for some information
Won’t someone tell me please what I got to do to ease this fascination
I’ve been climbing up a brick of wall 1000 feet tall
Just pull me over to the other side
Not another TV dinner
Sunday afternoon sinner
Tell me who’s taking who for a ride

Can I get a 1-2 (can I get a ride)
Can I get a witness
Can I get a 3-4 (yeah)

Fallin’ from the Magic Tree
You know you got me on the run from the enemy
I want more, more, more
I want more, more, more
You know that my parachute is failing me
You know you got me on the run from the enemy
Come on, rescue me.

Sexy…I want more
Mmm…yeah

Can I get an angel up in here?
I’m cryin….

Fallin’ from the Magic Tree
You know you got me on the run from the enemy
I want more, more, more
I want more, more, more
You know that my parachute is failing me
You know you got me on the run from the enemy
Come on, rescue, rescue, rescue me.
Come on set me free and rescue me
